Our Vision

"Hope Haven is community committed to the special creation of God that is the human being; encouraging the realization of dreams, desires, and aspirations, valuing gifts, talents, and contributions, sharing accountability for individual and community growth."

Based in Rock Valley, Iowa, Hope Haven reaches out in the name of Jesus with love, hope, and opportunity. 

Our ministry began in 1964 when we responded to the needs of 11 children with hearing impairments in our immediate area.  Today, we provide services that meet diverse needs at 22 program sites in 24 communities.   

Almost 300 adults celebrate living independently thanks to Hope Haven's housing options developed in response to requests from individuals with disabilities and their families.  More than a thousand people continue to be served in life-changing ways through nine Hope Haven services across the region.  Thousands more have been impacted by Hope Haven International Ministries through the delivery of wheelchairs to those in developing countries that cannot afford one. 

Ultimately, all of this is about people, God's people serving others and God's people being served.
