Don has been a licensed attorney since 1976.  After approximately 27 years in the private practice of law, he joined Barnabas Foundation, a faith-based, non-profit organization.  As a planned giving attorney, he provided guidance and assistance to Christians of all ages and generations to help them grow in their understanding of biblical stewardship and to experience the joy of living a generous life.  He retired from that organization in April of 2014.

Don holds a B.A. degree from Minnesota State University in Mankato and earned a Juris Doctorate at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, MN. He has served on several community boards including the Wayzata Community Foundation, the Greater Wayzata Chamber of Commerce and the Christian Legal Society of Minnesota. He has also been a volunteer for Twin Cities Christian Legal Aid and Prison Fellowship Ministries. He currently serves as a board member of Haiti Teen Challenge and Inner City Christian Ministries of Minneapolis.

Hope Haven Foundation recently retained Don as a Planned Giving Consultant to assist their donors with their estate planning needs.  He is available to personally meet with couples and individuals to discuss all aspects of estate planning, including the structuring of well-designed, tax-efficient wills which reflect one’s desire to honor God through true stewardship values.  Whatever one’s estate planning concern is, Don is available to assist them with structuring the most effective plan.  And, Don’s services are available at absolutely no cost to the donor.
